How to Find Us

Getting to our College is easier than ever! 

Our Town Centre and STEM Centre campuses are less than a 10-minute walk from the central bus station and train stations linking to public bus routes across Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.  

Our Knowsley Main Campus is located in Huyton and benefits from excellent road, bus and rail connections.

Travelling by Car

From M62 to St Helens College
Exit the M62 at junction 7 and take the roundabout exit onto the A570 (St Helens Linkway). Follow this straight into St Helens Town Centre and you will pick up signs for either the Town Centre Campus (WA10 1PP) or STEM Centre, Technology Campus (WA9 1TT).

From M62 to Knowsley Community College
Exit the M62 at Junction 5 and follow the A5080 towards Huyton. Follow signs for Knowsley Main Campus.

Car Parking

St Helens Town Centre Campus 

The Town Centre Campus car park is reserved for staff use only. Unfortunately, there is no student or visitor parking available, and this is noted on the signs at the entrance to the car park. 

There is some reserved car parking available for those in possession of a valid Blue Badge. This is provided at the entrance to the building within the staff parking area and Blue Badges must be displayed at all times when parked. Prior permission to use these bays must be sought to avoid any penalties. Please contact the Reception Team for more information. 

Restrictions are in place during the following times: 

Monday – Thursday 3.00am – 4.00pm 
Friday 3.00am – 12.00noon 
Saturday & Sunday 3.00am – 10.00am 

Outside of these times, students and visitors are welcome to use the car park – subject to availability. 

St Helens Council do have a number of nearby car parks in the Town Centre that students can choose to park in. Find out more information here: www.sthelens.gov.uk/carparks

Knowsley Community College Main Campus

Parking is available at the front of the campus for staff, students and visitors, subject to availability. Staff and students will require a pass to activate the barrier. Visitors should use the intercom on arrival and sign in at reception to collect a visitor badge.

Travelling by Bus

St Helens Campus : The nearest bus station to our St Helens campuses is located in St Helens Town Centre on Chalon Way West. It is a short walk to the Town Centre Campus and approximately a 10-minute walk to the STEM Centre Campus and Green Energy Skills Centre.

Knowsley Community College: Several bus stops are located close to the campus, including those on Stockbridge Lane and Fairclough Road.

Travelling by Train

St Helens College’s campuses are only 10-minute walk from St Helens Central Train Station. This station is on the main line between Wigan North Western station and Liverpool Lime Street station.

Knowsley Community College: The campus is within walking distance of St Helens Central railway station, located on the Liverpool Lime Street to Wigan North Western line.
