Our safeguarding. mental health and wellbeing team

Your health and wellbeing is very important to us. As a College, we are committed to:

  • ensuring every individual is respected and valued;
  • providing an enjoyable, safe, supportive and caring environment, building confidence and providing excellent skills development for life and work;
  • providing a supportive culture.

If you need to report a concern, ask for advice and support or just want someone to talk to, we have a dedicated Safeguarding, Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, who are available across all our campuses.

We have a dedicated Multi-faith space, which is a quiet comfortable room that can be used for meditation and prayer.

Safeguarding

It is our duty to protect and promote our students’ welfare by providing a safe College environment and having clear processes and measures in place to safeguard them against harm.

To view our Safeguarding Policy, please visit our Statements and Policies page

Prevent

We are committed to safeguarding all students, young people and vulnerable adults from the threat of extremist view, the danger of radicalisation and the influence of terrorist groups, as part of the Government’s ‘Prevent’ strategy.

All College staff have received detailed training on Prevent and are on hand to help support any students, parents/carers and visitors who may need it.

External Support

We recognise that there may be times when a young person or their family would benefit from additional support alongside the services available within college. The organisations and resources listed below provide information, advice and specialist support on a range of issues, including mental health and wellbeing and other personal challenges. While these services are independent of the college, parents and carers may find them helpful in supporting their young person throughout their college journey.
