The College enjoyed an evening of celebration at the Knowsley Business Awards, which recognised the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations across Knowsley, who make a valuable contribution to the local and regional economy.

As proud sponsors of the Apprentice/Employee of the Year category, College Principal and CEO, Simon Pierce, hosted a table alongside our Business Development Team, with some of our valued apprenticeship employers in attendance as our guests including Pressure Hydraulics and Controls, HMS, Pentre Group, and Kealshore.

During the event, we were proud to see our apprentice, Harry, who is currently undertaking his level 2 apprenticeship with Sterling Plastering, receive the ‘Highly Commended’ award in the Apprentice/Employee of the Year category.

Jeff Murphy, Managing Director at Sterling Plastering, said:

“Harry is a credit to himself and the company. He learns very quickly and has even been working in our training centre helping new starters. Harry has a great mentality for what the construction industry requires.”
