Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy

This course is suitable for those who already hold the level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy or practitioners who currently work in this field, such as Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Sports Therapists.

You will develop a thorough understanding of advanced anatomical, physiological and pathological principles relevant to the application of sports massage.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have gained an approved qualification for Continued Professional Development (CPD) by the Sports Massage Association.

Start Date and Duration

The course will start in September and will take one year to complete. You will attend College for one afternoon per week on a Tuesday, from 1.00pm – 4.00pm.

This course takes place at St Helens College, Town Centre Campus, St Helens, WA10 1PP.

Assessment Methods

You will be assessed through portfolio work, observations and you will complete a candidate log.

Entry Requirements

You must hold a level 3 sports massage qualification, or equivalent.

Course Cost

The total cost of this course is £1,110.

If you are aged 19 or over, you could apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover part of your course fees. An Advanced Learner Loan enables you to study now, pay later. Loan eligibility isn’t dependent on income or employment status and there is no credit check. Loan repayments don’t start until you have finished your course and earn over £25,000 per year. Future Progression Opportunities

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to work independently or within a supervisory position. You will also be qualified to tutor level 1, 2 and 3 in Sports Massage Practitioners.

You will have the opportunity to progress on to the level 5 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy.
