Our Knowsley Community College T Level Education and Childcare (Early Years Educator) students have started their Level 1 Forest School qualification. This six-week course runs alongside their main programme.

Forest Schools focus on holistic development, building confidence, self-esteem and social skills through hands-on, self-directed play and supported risk-taking.

Students attended Stockbridge Lane Park, where they took part in activities such as fire building, creating natural shelters, tightrope walking, s’mores making, whittling and mindfulness in hammocks.

This has been a fantastic experience for our students, helping them to develop teamwork and resilience.
